Synopsis

Elsie and Len returned from their holiday in Blackpool. Elsie was stung by Dennis’s reserve. Harry encountered Concepta in a playground and confessed that he couldn't leave Weatherfield; it was where he belonged. Frank was having difficulties with Ethel Tyson, his upstairs tenant, who was two months behind on rent. Concepta threatened to go to Ireland alone. Elsie urged Len to be gentle with Dennis, reminding him they had only spent one afternoon together.
