Synopsis

Dennis confided in Elsie that Mavis had abandoned him after learning of his modest circumstances. Elsie, initially sympathetic, soon discovered his tale was a fabrication. She issued a veiled threat to inform Mavis of Dennis's deceit. The police recovered all the stolen merchandise, much to the girls’ dismay.
