Synopsis

In Barnsley, Jack tends to his mother, Ena, who is nearing her eighty-seventh year. A mild stroke and a head injury sustained during a fall have left her with a concussion. Len’s installation of a fireplace in Elsie’s room becomes the subject of local conversation. Meanwhile, Martha and Minnie visit Ena, but she appears unable to recognize them.
