Synopsis

The quiet of Elsie’s Sunday morning is fractured by the sounds of children at play and Dennis’s insistent calls for breakfast. Concepta battles a headache, yet resolves to attend mass as always. Annie, with a flurry of activity, rushes through her customary cleaning before preparing for an overnight visit to Derby to see Joan and Gordon. She also leaves Jack a list of tasks and detailed instructions for looking after Len and the Barlows.
