Yukiko Makabe is a rising star within the Metropolitan Police Department’s Special Investigation Team #3, known for her sharp instincts and exceptional ability to diffuse tense situations through negotiation. But when a high-stakes hostage situation – a bus hijacking – goes unexpectedly wrong, Yukiko shoulders the blame and requests a transfer. She finds herself assigned to "Kintori," an elite interrogation unit where she’ll face a fresh set of challenges. Leading this specialized team is Katsutoshi Kajiyama, whose history with Yukiko has been anything but smooth.
