Synopsis

In the workshop loft, Richard illustrates how to prolong the lifespan of a hot water heater through the simple replacement of the sacrificial anode rod. Meanwhile, Tom visits Alison Hardy, a homeowner in Topsfield, Massachusetts, and installs a "cricket"—a rain diverter designed to keep water from accumulating on her front steps.
