Synopsis

In Swampscott, Massachusetts, homeowner Martin D'Agostino welcomes Tom, who expertly guides him through the repair and replacement of his decaying deck balusters. Later, in the *Ask This Old House* loft, Tom, Richard, Roger, and Kevin pose the question, "What Is It?"
