Synopsis

A warm roof was installed to ward off the cold. The new framing presented unexpected plumbing difficulties. Rot had taken hold of the original sill. Solutions were considered for illuminating the new extension, taking into account the exposed timbers of the older structure. The roof valley was made watertight.
