Synopsis

This Old House ventures into Hollywood with its second project of the season, undertaking its first renovation in the Los Angeles area. Following a tour of local landmarks, master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor arrive at a 1933 Spanish Colonial Revival home nestled in the Silver Lake hills. The homeowners, Kurt Albrecht and Mary Blee, envision expanding and renovating the 1,500-square-foot house, carefully preserving and extending its original character throughout the new addition.
