Kevin O'Connor arrives at the site to find the old house vanished. General contractor Tom Silva is completing the demolition, using an excavator to dismantle the chimney and foundation. The concrete and brick rubble will be crushed and transported for use as road base, while the remaining structure will eventually be repurposed as affordable housing; for now, it’s held in storage at the ReStore in Springfield, Massachusetts.
