Synopsis

Given the vulnerability of homes in Southern Florida to hurricanes, considerable measures are undertaken to ensure buildings can withstand the storms. At a project house in West Palm Beach, hurricane-resistant replacement windows are installed; their shatterproof glass eliminates the need for cumbersome storm shutters. The team then journeys to one of the most ambitious and intricate construction projects of the century: NASA's International Space Station at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
