Synopsis

Work continues in the basement of the This Old House Charlestown project, where the space is being converted into two bedrooms for the rental unit. To maintain a comfortable, dry environment, close-cell foam is sprayed onto the exterior walls. Meanwhile, upstairs in the Beliveau residence, host Steve Thomas meets with plaster restorer Rory Brennan to learn about preserving the historic horsehair plaster and its delicate vintage ornamentation.
