While the master carpenter prepares the table saw to craft a sample raised-panel door for the Silvas’ new kitchen, our host observes Tom’s method for flashing windows: a waterproof membrane overlaid with a custom gap of side-bent, lead-coated copper. The factory-primed and first-coated cementitious clapboards are installed to widespread approval. Our host then meets with landscape designer Stephanie Hubbard to discuss the project's complexities – property access, interior views, and transitions
