West of Boston, under the guidance of SPNEA’s Andrea Gilmore, our host explores a historically accurate eight-color paint scheme. Andrea is at the Belmont house to advise homeowner Lauren Gallant on her paint selections. The team examines the porch trim, noting years of inadequate repairs and patching. By drawing on architectural pattern books from the turn of the century, they attempt to reconstruct the original aesthetic. Meanwhile, Richard Trethewey assists plumber Maura Russell with the PVC
