Brian and Jan, the homeowners, walk through their house, observing the exposed kitchen ceiling. Landscape architect Tom Wirth arrives and readily embraces the task of redesigning the pathway to the house’s front door. Tom Silva demonstrates innovative ventilation chutes and an engineered wood trim. Next, we travel to a construction site on Squam Lake in New Hampshire, where timber-framer Tedd Benson and his team are building scissor trusses for the Igoes' expansive living area.
