This week, UN investigator Detlev Mehlis released his long-awaited report on the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. The report concludes that the Syrian security services and other senior Syrian officials were implicated in the attack. Furthermore, Lebanese President Emile Lahoud is alleged to have been aware of the plot to kill Hariri. In *Tegenlicht*, the background and a reconstruction of this political murder are presented through interviews with those most closely
