Synopsis

Even now, a formidable prison and a building that appeared quite ordinary in Berlin concealed the headquarters of a notorious and merciless organization: the Stasi. Elsewhere, on the island of Vis, a clandestine Communist base sheltered submarines for Tito, the former leader of Yugoslavia. A sports center, outwardly unremarkable, masked a sinister underground bunker. And the former headquarters of the Soviet Army in East Germany functioned as a forbidden Soviet enclave, a city within a city.
