Synopsis

The year is approximately 1800, and Europe stood at a crossroads, a duality mirrored in its art. Grand Neoclassical structures, adorned with columns and domes, dominated the great cities. Yet, the recent Revolution had ignited a fervent yearning for liberty – political and personal. This spirit found expression in dramatic Romantic paintings, which captured intense emotion and the sublime power of Nature. And one could wander through fairytale castles, veritable embodiments of Romantic ideals.
