Synopsis

Bulgaria exists as a fascinating confluence of past and present – sleek boutiques thrive within the city, while horse-drawn carts still navigate the countryside. We journey to a mountain monastery, encountering two sculptors whose work ranges from Stalinist portraits to sensual nudes. Later, we share a hearty, traditional meal prepared with care in a local home.
