Synopsis

Eugene’s life deteriorates with each devastating loss. First, his mother’s abandonment casts a long shadow, and then, his coming out as gay precipitates further isolation. Rejected by his family, he is cast adrift onto the streets, where he must confront overwhelming adversity in his relentless pursuit of academic excellence at a prestigious university.
