Synopsis

Hope seemed a distant memory, and sorrow her only companion, when fate intervened. A woman burdened by physical limitations encountered a soldier, and soon found herself the object of his ardent proposal. Yet, unable to accept the possibility of love in the face of her own perceived inadequacy, she remained blind to the depth of her husband's affection and the inherent kindness of his character.
