Synopsis

Marlene’s success in the city has made her homecoming the subject of much speculation in their small town. Anticipation hummed around her impending return, particularly amongst Rosita, her closest friend, and Andres, her childhood sweetheart. But the reality of her arrival proved a profound shock, a deep disappointment. The Marlene who stepped off the train was not the girl they remembered; she was transformed – a woman of the world, hardened by ambition, and seemingly devoid of warmth.
