Synopsis

Fentanyl has become, by far, the most lethal illicit drug in American history. Frequently portrayed as delivering an unparalleled euphoria, it is in reality a weaker, fleeting, and intensely addictive alternative to heroin. This video examines the effects of opioids on the brain and body, the experience of taking them, and the tragic phenomenon of fentanyl overdose deaths occurring even among those who did not seek it out.
