Synopsis

For eons, a war has raged, birthing formidable creatures who clash relentlessly for existence. Indifferent to humankind, most of these beings pose little threat; our immune systems manage their attacks with ease. Yet, exceptions exist. *Naegleria fowleri*, an amoeba, has evolved a terrifying appetite for human brains, proving resistant to our defenses and frequently appearing in alarming news reports. What occurs when this predator invades the body?
