Synopsis

Echo, widely regarded as Africa’s most celebrated elephant, had been the focus of numerous films and served as the matriarch of what is arguably the world’s most thoroughly studied wild elephant herd. In May of 2009, she passed away peacefully, succumbing to natural causes. This film offers a retrospective view of this exceptional animal, utilizing remarkable footage and interviews with the researchers who dedicated themselves to the care and study of Echo and her family.
