Synopsis

Marine biologist and filmmaker Rick Rosenthal chronicles the lives of billfish – marlins, sailfish, and swordfish – a species whose populations have suffered a precipitous decline in the last half-century due to overfishing. His work takes him to remarkable locations: off Mexico's Contoy Island, where he observes vast schools of sailfish feeding on sardines; and along Australia's Great Barrier Reef, where he swims alongside a magnificent marlin exceeding 1000 pounds in weight.
