Synopsis

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, rescue efforts extended to the city's animal inhabitants. A dog, stranded for days on a rooftop, was finally brought to safety. A NOAA crew also rescued four dolphins displaced from the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport, Mississippi. Furthermore, nineteen penguins, two sea otters, a sea turtle, and sea dragons were evacuated from the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans.
