Synopsis

In a chacma baboon troop of Zimbabwe, a shift in power brings a new dominant male, and with him, a necessary recalibration for the entire community. The twins, along with every other young baboon, now faces peril. The new king’s claim to the females’ favor hinges on a brutal necessity: he must eliminate their offspring before he can hope to breed with them.
