Every late summer, the Red Triangle, a stretch of coastline between San Francisco and Monterey, awakens with a vibrant pulse of marine life. Here, beaches offer refuge for elephant seals undergoing their annual molt, while the offshore waters become hunting grounds for great white sharks. Beyond these concentrated areas of activity, the sharks patrol kelp forests in search of sea lions or traverse the vast expanse of the open ocean.
