Synopsis

In the Sahel, the semi-arid region straddling the Sahara and the savanna, the people measure time through ritual and custom. As the sun blazes over the Niger River delta, the annual Fulani cattle drive is in full swing. Young Errou Sisse must leave his beloved and journey hundreds of miles across arid land with his family's herd, seeking sufficient grazing.
