Synopsis

For generations, the Tuareg have endured the harsh Sahara, their lives interwoven with the trade of salt – a commodity once valued above gold. In this segment of AFRICA, young Adam Ilius, a boy of nine years, embarks on his first journey across hundreds of miles of desolate and perilous desert as part of a trans-Saharan salt caravan.
