Synopsis

Every October, the isolated town of Churchill, Manitoba, becomes a gathering place for remarkable creatures. Over a thousand polar bears congregate there, patiently awaiting the Hudson Bay's refreeze before venturing onto the ice to hunt seals – their traditional winter food source. The world’s largest land predator, the polar bear presents a danger to both humans and marine life; yet for Churchill, these magnificent animals represent a significant source of revenue.
