Synopsis

The modern holiday turkey offers a wide array of preparation methods—smoked, fried, brined, roasted, and even wrapped in bacon—and host Jesse Palmer draws inspiration from this versatility for the bakers' Preheat challenge. Competitors are divided into teams to craft a series of pies designed to guide judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman, and Carla Hall through a progression of flavors, much like a flight of bourbon.
