Synopsis

Five years had passed since Edmond had assumed the title of Count of Monte Cristo, and now he found himself face to face with those who had wronged him, in the heart of Paris. He extended an invitation to them all, a dinner meant to be a carefully orchestrated occasion. During the meal, he recounted a chilling tale – a story of a newborn infant buried alive, which sent a wave of horror through several of his guests.
