This show possesses a remarkable combination of darkness, oddness, humor, and unexpected warmth. I anticipated plenty of laughs given my fondness for Tim Robbins’ previous comedic work, but the experience was unlike anything I expected. The funniest moments consistently followed genuinely moving scenes, catching me off guard. Essentially, it centers on a man grappling with personal struggles that cause him to become intensely focused on what initially appears to be a minor occurrence; however, this quickly evolves into a strange and unsettling puzzle, populated by truly memorable characters who pull you deep into their peculiar universe. And predictably, just as you believe you understand the direction of the series, the season concludes with a significant plot development that raises far more questions than it resolves! I am eagerly awaiting the second season.
