This was primarily a character-driven story, with very little in the way of an overarching plot. The premise itself isn’t particularly original; it brought "Save the Last Dance for Me (2004)" quickly to mind. The main characters were well-developed and the actors portraying them delivered performances that matched their roles. This contributed to a believable connection between the leads. Still, its biggest flaw is the lack of freshness in presentation. Because it focuses on everyday life, the number of featured performers felt restricted, repeatedly circling back to the same individuals. They also didn't offer much in the way of distinct personalities, which made it hard to stay engaged and excited about what was happening. The runtime of 75 minutes per episode for a total of 16 episodes proved to be another issue; there were far too many drawn-out, unremarkable scenes that extended each installment unnecessarily. A slice of life story doesn't have to be dull when handled well. Trimming it down to around six or seven episodes would likely have improved the overall experience.
