Disney has done it again. This lovely animated film is the result of the collaboration between the directors of 'Tangled' and 'Wreck-it-Ralph'. It’s clear Disney is succeeding while their competitor, Pixar, seems to be struggling. As a longtime fan, I am pleased by their success in both live-action movies and animation, particularly this one. Since 3D animation became popular over twenty years ago, pushing aside traditional 2D animation, major studios like Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks have consistently delivered quality work. Honestly, I wasn’t that interested when I first saw the previews. But they did a great job with promotion, and as a result, the film performed exceptionally well worldwide. I was completely surprised after seeing it; it's another unique story from Disney featuring memorable characters. It will appeal to everyone, from young children to adults. The sight of all sorts of animals living together is something you mostly only see in animated movies. Today’s kids are perceptive and ask a lot of questions, so the film provided a reasonable explanation for how different species could coexist. The concept was similar to the United States, where people come from various continents and backgrounds. In this movie, all the animals originated from different places and live together peacefully in a city called Zootopia. The story follows Judy, a rabbit who pursues her dream of becoming a police officer in Zootopia. There she meets Nick, a fox, who are historically rival species in the wild, though that was thousands of years before they adapted to civilization. A sense of distrust exists between them, but they’re compelled to team up after a minor missing person case becomes their main focus. Unraveling the mystery concludes this wonderful story. Modern animation isn't just about comedy anymore; it also aims to connect with audiences emotionally. Perhaps that’s how they are attracting adult viewers and families. Shakira’s brief appearance was a highlight, and her song 'Try Everything' helped garner attention from all over. The Oscars were concluded recently, but the excitement for next year is already building, and this film appears to be in the lead for the animation category. It’s premature to say, but I am hoping it will win. Finally, a request to Disney: please make a sequel as soon as you can. 8/10
