Among Disney’s films recently released, this one stands out as exceptionally good. The story is clever, built around a significant theme concerning disparities, stereotypes, and biases, while also reflecting the current move toward portraying women in more substantial ways. There are still some areas that could be developed further, particularly regarding that last point, but in my opinion, it marks an important step forward. The characters are well-developed, and the film manages to be humorous when appropriate without relying too heavily on predictable musical numbers.
