This sequel felt completely unnecessary! I want to state upfront that everything here reflects my personal views and isn’t meant to be disrespectful to anyone. Ben Stiller is a talented performer, though his work as a director has been hit-or-miss. After 'Walter Mitty,' expectations were high for this film, but it fell far short of what I'd hoped for—it really reached a low point in his directorial career. This strange cinematic experiment didn’t quite succeed, but I believe he’ll recover and do better next time. He still has star power as an actor, and I am eager to see what he does next. It had been fifteen years since the first movie came out, and honestly, I don't recall much of it. Before watching this one, I did a quick refresher so that I could follow along better. The film started with a recap of previous events, but when I saw who appeared in the opening scene, I knew it wasn’t going to be good—and unfortunately, my instincts were correct. The story itself was okay, but the jokes just didn't land. There were also way too many celebrity appearances that disrupted the flow and prevented any real momentum or focus on developing the plot. The only moment where I genuinely chuckled came from seeing Neil deGrasse Tyson. Sequels are especially important because they need to connect the original film with potential future installments and establish a franchise, but this one clearly failed at that—I doubt there will be any more movies in the series. The first 'Zoolander' had its own unique charm, which this film completely lost. The production values were high, and the actors did their best, however, the humor was just average. I understand some people might enjoy it, but I didn’t, so I can’t recommend it to fans of the original or anyone looking for a good comedy. As I always say though, you might like it—so consider my thoughts carefully before making your own decision. 3/10
