While not an advancement over the initial installment, and noticeably less strong, *Your Christmas or Mine 2* still offers some laughs and plenty of holiday spirit. The shift in setting initially raised concerns about the movie’s direction, but ultimately it proved to be satisfactory. The cast is enjoyable; I'd say they are the strongest aspect of the film. Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk work well together as a couple, something I noted previously when observing that their screen time was limited in the first film, though this isn’t really an issue here. The supporting actors are also quite good, including Daniel Mays, Angela Griffin, and David Bradley. Ram John Holder has a small part but delivers a lovely scene with Kirk later on. Jane Krakowski is a welcome addition to the cast as well. I did find one relatively minor problem with the plot towards the end; it felt exaggerated. The story shifts abruptly from being generally cheerful to resembling a soap opera, when Butterfield and Kirk's characters face significant drama. It’s so heightened that the film doesn’t genuinely earn the emotional moment it seems to be aiming for. Fortunately, it resolves fairly quickly. Despite this, I would suggest watching it—particularly if you enjoyed the first one.
