This film, *You’re Cordially Invited*, is truly awful; it fails to elicit any laughs and proves difficult to enjoy. I found myself hoping that each character would simply stay offscreen, and the effort to make them sympathetic in the final moments feels unsuccessful. Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon don't seem like a good pairing together either. The only remotely enjoyable aspect was the end-credit musical number featuring Ferrell and Witherspoon—a small bright spot. There are a few fleetingly acceptable moments sprinkled throughout, but they’re overshadowed by everything else and quickly forgotten. The nearly two-hour length certainly doesn't improve things.
