You People doesn't distinguish itself; it’s simply an unremarkable film. The acting felt bland, and the writing was disappointing. It seemed like the filmmakers were going through a checklist of social topics rather than crafting a genuine narrative. While I support stories that address issues of race and sexuality, here the message is delivered so obviously that it overshadows what's happening in the story itself, creating an artificial feel. Even though there are some moments where I did find myself laughing—I’ll concede that given the sheer number of jokes attempted—the movie wasn’t genuinely amusing overall. I also didn’t form a strong bond with the two central characters. Ultimately, it's a forgettable and disappointing film considering the actors who appeared in it. Score: 45% Verdict: Poor
