The 2020 review seemed like a comedic look back at people and things lost due to the Covid crisis, also acknowledging Black Lives Matter and the political climate of that time. Essentially, it used a stand-up comedy format set during a fictional funeral. Each performer talked about someone or something impacted by the pandemic. Some bits didn't quite land, but others were genuinely amusing. Still, considering how chaotic and significant 2020 was, the show felt somewhat restrained. I found the ending particularly funny, with its credits-style listing of things that ended in 2020. Christina Aguilera performed a song to finish it off as well. It was also interesting to see how they employed green screen technology to depict the cast at the funeral while maintaining social distance. It’s worth seeing, but don't anticipate anything extraordinary.
