It’s hard to believe a movie could be made on a shoestring budget, relying on a simple plot and actors who largely remain silent, yet still achieve something “excellent.” "Year 10" somehow pulls this off. The film gets under your skin in a deeply visceral way, with every intense moment driven by the struggle to survive painful experiences and the possibility of sudden danger. This is an incredibly tense and emotionally draining experience that really ratchets up the suspense, even delivering a few genuinely affecting moments toward the very end. Essentially, it's unusual for a film with such modest resources, a straightforward story, and minimal dialogue to be this creative and captivating. Considering what it achieves using only the barest of cinematic tools, it’s certainly worthy of recognition. Give it a try; you might find yourself agreeing with my assessment.
