I've seen this beloved musical numerous times, and anticipate watching it once more. My wife and I find it a pleasant distraction from everyday concerns. On one occasion, when I was in a particularly negative mood, I found fault with aspects of the film, like what appeared to be exaggerated performances. That didn’t sit well with my wife, and truthfully, I can't fault her for that reaction. It provides an enjoyable experience filled with memorable songs, and both Gene Kelly and Olivia Newton-John deliver solid performances. Thinking about it now, perhaps this would be a good moment for my wife and me to watch it together again, especially given the challenges of navigating these difficult times.
