I was honestly taken aback by the decline in the average score for this film. I did enjoy *'X-Men: The Last Stand'.* Checking out some other reviews, it appears a central criticism revolves around how specific characters are portrayed compared to their comic book versions, which is a valid point; however, that didn’t really affect my enjoyment since I don’t read the comics. Judging it purely as a movie, I found it adequately entertaining. Hugh Jackman continues to be outstanding, although Wolverine's behavior at the start felt somewhat strange—though that feeling faded quickly. It would have been nice to see Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) included somehow, but one of his replacements, Beast (Kelsey Grammer), worked well for me. I can appreciate why others have issues with this film, particularly regarding those character concerns I mentioned, but I have to say that I thought it was a decent movie—even if it’s generally considered the least strong installment in the original series.
