It was really fun to watch. *Wreck-It Ralph* turned out to be quite good. Initially, it seemed like it might simply be another retelling of *Toy Story*, centered around video games. Fortunately, it develops its own identity and delivers a worthwhile message alongside some genuinely funny moments. I haven’t been much of a gamer, particularly within the types of games featured here, but I still picked up on many of the smaller details. The way they constructed the world is also appealing; it's certainly quirky, but there’s something impressive about how everything connects. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman both do a wonderful job as Ralph and Vanellope. It’s simple to become invested in those characters, since they each have significant storylines. Jane Lynch (Calhoun), Jack McBrayer (Felix), and Alan Tudyk (Candy) also contribute well with their respective roles—it's obvious that Tudyk's character is inspired by Ed Wynn and his Mad Hatter persona. The animation looks good, and while the music isn’t particularly memorable, it’s upbeat and works especially well in the Sugar Rush setting. I recommend checking it out.
