These undead are relentless in their desire for human bodies, scrambling over one another in a desperate attempt to satisfy their seemingly limitless appetite. For the first time, it feels possible that zombies could bring about global collapse. The film's rapid tempo captures the desperation and despair of trying to survive. Brad Pitt portrays someone desperately searching across continents for any sign of hope or a solution, but the plot’s breakneck speed comes to an abrupt stop in the final scenes, bringing the chaotic terror into sharp focus with pervasive unease.
