It's possible I watched this film sometime in the past, but nothing felt familiar while viewing it, so maybe not. Typically, I find myself disliking films centered on writers—as one myself, I grow weary of depictions of writer’s block, which I don’t think is a real thing, or stories where characters achieve rapid success. We see many portrayals of struggling artists in various fields, but it seems like writers are frequently shown achieving quick breakthroughs. However, I'm getting sidetracked. I found the movie to be enjoyable, with its collection of unusual personalities and small surprises in the storyline. There are just a few characters who feel flat; most are developed well, even those with limited appearances. It’s an example of what can happen when you have a strong group of actors and a solid script.
