Steer clear of Southern California’s woodlands! A pair of brothers, their spouses, and another couple journey to Wolf Mountain, located in the desert hills north of Los Angeles, to look into an event that occurred two decades earlier. Things quickly spiral out of control as bodies begin to accumulate. Tobin Bell and Danny Trejo make appearances in minor roles. “Curse of Wolf Mountain,” also known as “Wolf Mountain” (2022), functions much like a typical cabin-in-the-woods movie, with the difference being that the characters are camping instead. The identity of the threat remains unclear until near the end. Is it a feral person, a werewolf, or something else entirely? It’s essentially a contemporary version of films from the 80s such as “Don't Go in the Woods” and “Memorial Valley Massacre.” It surpasses the quality of the first one while being roughly equivalent to the second. Malu Trevejo, with her dark hair, is a standout; she’s quite beautiful, bringing to mind Salma Hayek when she was younger. Sadly, her character is eliminated from the story too soon. What an error that was. Keli Price, who bears a resemblance to Peter Parker, takes on the role of the male lead and also penned the screenplay. The film’s length is 1 hour and 35 minutes, and it was filmed at SilverStrand Ranch in Castaic, which is approximately a 55-minute drive northwest of Los Angeles within the dry, elevated terrain.
